Drive By Why?

by Todd Geatz   Feb 9, 2004

I've found someone else,
Someone other than you.
Long dark hair, not brown eyes,
Hers are blue.
Totally different from you,
She's all brand new,
Loves to screw,
And she's so damn cool!
I met her the other day
She told me she wanted to lay
Gave me her number and name,
Initials R.M.A
I was wondering if you had gotten word,
Is that why you drove, like a foot from the curb?
When you drove by my work,
I walked out the side door,
Saw me in your rear-view mirror,
Push the gas to the floor.
Then the next day,
ask around and see who I told,
Try to make up an excuse,
Man, that's cold
Cause you damn well,
My car was the only one in the lot,
All the other stores were closed,
So there was nothing you could have bought.
Drive by slow, trying to see inside,
I saw the whole thing,
Don't try and hide,
Don't try and lie
About how you drive,
Only car at night,
2 speeding awards, right?
And you didn't get a movie,
Cause you don't watch them by yourself,
You were alone in your car,
Not with anyone else,
So why did you come by?
Why try and spy?
Try to seek out this guy?
And do it in a drive by?
I'm not sure, but your conscience knows,
Remember that,
The next time you lay your head on your pillow.
