Good thing i didn't open up
good thing i didn't start to love
because it ended like i thought
keeping my distance is what I've been taught

using me for a one night stance
they never even give me a chance
why bother anymore, even trying?
these heartbreakers are the reason I'm crying

good thing i didn't start to believe
good thing i knew that he would leave
because now i know he used me
good thing i can finally see

no one cares what's inside
which forces me to continually hide
i give up, just kill me now
i want to die, i don't care how

good thing i didn't grow content
good thing i knew what that kiss really meant
my cautiousness is indeed a very good thing
because now i finally know, they will only be flings

    They won't all end like this....you have to realize that. eventually you'll find that one guy who'll never hurt you, and never treat you like this. just keep looking, and living for that day.

    as for the poem, absolutely excellent, despite the bad topic. so many people have to be able to identify on so many levels with this....don't stop writing
