Spare me your Tears

by Kristin   Apr 30, 2006

Spare me your tears,
for no forgiveness I shall shed.
My heart was torn apart,
and your needle has no thread.

You can try to sew it up,
but the needle does more harm.
You can plead on your knees,
but I won't deal with your charm.

You may think you are sly,
but you don't know it all.
You can get on the ground,
but I won't take you if you crawl.

You can try to buy me back,
but honey it won't work.
If you think you can afford me,
you're just another assertive jerk.

You have hurt me again and again,
and I am no longer blind.
Sure, I turned the other cheek before,
but what did you think I would find?

You thought I would never notice,
you spent more time on the 'job'.
Well I won't sit back anymore,
as my life you slowly rob.

And you walked into my household,
with her perfume on your suit,
You told me you worked overtime,
and that I looked real cute.

I used to say nothing
and just slowly nod my head.
But this time is different,
I stood up to you instead.

And yes, you got defensive,
and lied straight to my face.
But I won't let you get away,
I will put you in your place.

So as you tell your buddes,
that you have wasted all these years.
And tell them I was the one who cheated,
just spare me all your tears.
