Everytime

by Karin   May 1, 2006

Sitting here all alone
Waiting here by the phone
For your call
But will you call at all?
Emptiness is what I feel
I don't know if I can heal
From your touch
Am I asking too much?

I try
Not to cry
Everytime
I hear your name
Everything's not the same
I fear
I disappear
Everytime
I see your face
Why can't I erase
What we became

Thinking back to the past
Wondering why we didnt last
For that long
Did I not belong?
It wasn't you, it wasn't me
I dont know if I agree
With what you said
Did you love her instead?

I try
Not to cry
Everytime
I hear your name
Everything's not the same
I fear
I disappear
Everytime
I see your face
Why can't I erase
What we became

I can't believe all the pain you caused me
You said you loved me; it was a guarantee
But now you are running off to her
I thought that that would never occur
I wish there was some way I could deter
My feelings for you, they still stir
When I think about what we were
These last few years have been a blur

I try
Not to cry
Everytime
I hear your name
Everything's not the same
I fear
I disappear
Everytime
I see your face
Why can't I erase
What we became
