Shared despair

He handed her the pieces of his
heart
said she teared it apart
a love left broken, and lost
she and him will share the cost

weeks, and even months went by
everyday she'd dream and cry
what a beautiful love , gone to waste
what a wonderful life, now displaced

love is left lost and broken
now not a word can be spoken
tension and worries now lie under
leaving a future left to wonder
