Truth Part III

I laid there on the ground for days trying to move, but unable, I felt helpless to nature. All I could do was think back before this happened. All my friend and I ever talked about was how to kill mankind. We thought of setting off a cosmic bomb which would be enough to decimate the planet, mood and a planet or two near earth. There was only one problem with this plan, neither one of us wanted to kill the animals. It turned out that we got our way. Mankind was gone and only the animals and I remained. I guess my wish came true, and now I have to suffer by spending the rest of time alone on this planet.

After giving up on moving, I heard my friend's voice, his voce speaking to me telling me to get up and letting me know he was there. Suddenly, I felt a force upon me; a force strong enough to pull me to my feet. That's when I saw him standing in front of me smiling. "Why are you smiling" I asked. All he said was "Why are you giving up so easily? Our plans are complete. Mankind is gone, and it's only you."

I could only wonder in my mind what he meant by "only you" when he was standing right in front of me. The next thing to happen scared me as he answered my question I wanted to ask but remained silent. He said to me "As long as you're here I am here'. How did he know what I was thinking? I thought to myself. Again he answered, "I know what you know and nothing more".
It was then he vanished as the wind knocked a tree down in-between him and me. As the dust cleared he was gone. Was I only imagining him? Has he always been my imagination? Was he real before, but my imagination now, or was it possible that he was really there?

That night as I lay in the grass next to the fire I could only think of what he said. What did he mean "as long as you're here I am here" What did he mean "I know what you know and nothing more" What did this mean? Did this mean he was a part of me? Was this how I knew him as well as I knew myself? So many questions asked and all answered when I next saw him.

I didn't see him again until the end of time came upon us. Man has always asked where we come from. Were we created by God as the Bible spoke of, or was it a chain reaction between gasses in space? I found the answers to these questions when the end of time came upon us. When that time came he appeared again. He told me the answers to these questions. He told me
"Man was not created; man just is as you have always known".
I questioned this as time reset itself. It was then that I realized what this meant. Man has always been and always will be. As time started new life, old life ended. As people awoke, I fell asleep, as he awoke from within me. He was a part of me as I am a part of him. We are destined to live through time alone with this held between us. The meteors had nothing to do with this. I realized it was only fate and fate alone. For the person to read this isn't meant to know and shall serve the same fate between us.

If you read all of this then please vote and give me some kinda coment saying you read it. thx

I really liked it, it is quite interesting. The questions that hunt us perhaps will never be answered and I like that mystery that you put into the story. I have been writing a story similar to this one.
