Then to Now

by Todd Geatz   Feb 11, 2004

At first I wasn't looking for anyone
But then I saw you,
You sat right across from me,
Then we we're paired as two,
You invited me out,
And so I went,
A memory forever,
One I'll never forget,
You wearing a sweater,
Blonde hair in the the breeze,
You missed the first few songs,
You were such a tease,
You had me at, Hi
When I looked in your eyes,
I felt so lucky,
One out of a million guys,
But it all sort of came together,
We hung out more and more
I still very much care about you,
But you seem to have closed the door,
All I wanted was a partner,
to make my life seem a little less darker,
And I put you in that position,
I'm not sure if you wanted to be
But then you came by,
What do you want from me?
Make me see,
Tell me how things are going to be differently,
Cause they won't be the same,
What a shame,
You a beautiful dame,
This whole thing is so lame,
But you know what?
I'll throw this B.S. aside,
Give you another ride,
I mean a second try,
Make things come alive,
Lets both strive,
To make things work out alright
