Pieces

by Matt   May 8, 2006

I wish you weren\\\'t worth the wait
And I can\\\'t make this obvious
Sitting on street corners in the glow
Of flickering lights and worn out sounds
Finding my own path through the broken web
And burning new ideas into the sky
I find pieces of what I wish to be
In every word I\\\'ve spoken to you
But they won\\\'t find their way together
Or tell me anything new about life
Because some things need other parts
Things not included and often in pieces themselves
But when they are drawn from each other
They find themselves worthless and unwanted
Wandering down a worn out path in time
And questioning why they existed
Like a mute prophet, you come to me
Not telling me anything I want to know
But instead, showing exactly what I need
Which is all I ever wanted..... I guess.
