Do Not Fear Me

Do Not Fear Me

Do not fear me,
I am your friend,
I wait for you in the shadows,
and slit your throat when you least expect it,

Do not fear me,
I am the wind,
as it is blowing past you as you are falling,
and then wake up the split second before you hit the ground,

Do not fear me,
I am the stranger,
that looks at you from the opposite ends of the room,
the person that you never want to meet,

Do not fear me,
I am your worst nightmare,
the one where you wake up screaming and sweating,
the one you have over and over,

Do not fear me,
I am the presence in your room,
that makes your hairs tingle and burn,

Do not fear me,
I am your worst memory,
the one you try to forget,
But has a silence that never ends,

Do not fear me,
I am the darkness,
that wraps my cold fingers around you while you sleep,

Do not fear me,
I am the thoughts that creep in your head,
I am the suicide that you think about after you lose all,

Do not fear me,
I am the razor, that rips your skin apart,
as you cry yourself to eternal sleep,

Do not fear me,
I am the pills you take,
that slowly disintegrate your body,
during your overdose,

Do not fear me,
I am the flickering light on the empty street,
that you stay under as you try to see through the cold, dark alley,

Do not fear me,
I am the pure quietness,
that you try to muffle so you can't hear it,

Do not fear me,
I am the other shadow behind you,
when there is no one else around,

Do not fear me,
I am the new kid in the cloak,
with the red hair and needles in his face,
with the red eyes that glare at space and time,

Do not fear me,
I am your consciousness that told you to write a letter to all,
before you grab the blade and drift away in the tub full of red water,

Do not fear me,
I am the poison that flows to your heart,
and eats away the muscle rapidly,

Do not fear me,
I am the non-existent thoughts you dare to utter,
as you lay awake,
pondering on lost dreams,

Do not fear me,
I am your ex that you ripped to pieces,
with your sour words and hurtful memories,

Do not fear me,
Because I thank you for all the emotion that I had,
To write this forgotten poem.

This is a really cool poem. I love every verse, they are all so good.

It's kind of creepy, which is always good. Write more soon :)
