The Family

by Arti   May 10, 2006

Twinkling in the inky sky tonight
Is one little star, playful and bright.
Now she's there, now she isn't
Laughing and teasing, she is always pleasant
Teasing her brother, the foaming sea,
And to teach her a lesson, he tries,
With powerful waves for arms,
But he cannot reach her, and as she twinkles in mirth
He crashes back to the Earth's breast for comfort.
While under their father's watchful eye,
And untiring as the hours pass by and by
The little star plays around more than a little bit
Adding impishness to a night brilliantly moonlit.
