Autistic son speaks out

by Chris   May 11, 2006

Some people say I'm different
Some things I do are strange
Judging by my Mommy's love
I see no need for change

All day she tends to me
Along with little Sis
And if that isn't enough stress
By 4 she deals with Chris

She always keeps me busy
Keeping active all day long
To keep my mind so sharp
And make my body oh so strong

She let's me play in mud
And the swing that's in the tree
She always gives me cookies
And keeps Sis from biting me

I want to say I Love You
But it doesn't come out right
The day that I can do this
Is what I dream about at night

I know you always worry Mommy
If I will be all right
Just know I'm always perfect
When you are in my sight

I know it must be hard sometimes
Like when I'm sick or spacing out
But here's a little secret Mommy.....
It's you I think about

They say that I'm delayed
With social skills and vocabulary
But when it comes to best Mommys
All kids delay to me.

You are the perfect Mommy
For helping me and having fun
You know my thing with animals?
Well Mommy, You are number one.

This is my poem to you Mommy
I think it's pretty "Swea"
Forget my words and hear my heart
I LOVE YOU..HAPPY MOMMY'S DAY!
