Summer child

by Sarah   May 12, 2006

Behold the dancing summer child
She's beautiful but wild
in her ways
She's blissful in her merriment
Unconscious of the time she spends
all her days
She's reaching for the goals she's set
No looking back with sad regret
as she plays

Moving are the songs she's singing
Powerful the mood she's bringing
with her song
Forest blossoms at her step
Going over paths she's kept
runs along
Reaches perfect, quiet, home
and in the warmth of summer night
She sleeps there peacefully alone
