Voice of Silence

by `~Raw~`Max   May 14, 2006

Sometimes I feel that in the end,
I still havent more time to spend.
Tell you of how I hate to lie,
But now that this will make me die.

I must tell you now or suffer the torment,
My heart from my body it has been rent.
Speak the words from which spout forth,
Direction gone wrong, the compass points north.

In this game of clues and the tame,
The answer spoke of what came.
You must know, of what is right,
This torment will end by morns first light.

Finally over the truth has been heard,
Although the reaction is slightly slurred.
My head hits the pillow and visions awake,
Of you forever, these I cannot shake.

Dont take long for me to realize,
The parting gift is not the prize.
Dont turn the head and stare into skies,
I cant pry my head from your beautiful eyes.

Everything hurts except for the one,
Now that Ive had all that can be done,
Together apart from what I can tell,
Answer my call from my empty shell?

This was very good, not your best but then again i'm not one for love poems. It had a strong sense of yearning and i loved the question mark at the end just put the icing on the cake. Great
