Forgotten and Replaced

by Kristen   May 14, 2006

And soon you'll say the three words you used to say to me.
Except this time they're to her, the one to be.
Your memories of me have faded, and now erased.
This new girl has sadly taken my place.
The place where my name, and heart used to be.
This day I thought I never would see.
I can tell you love her and want to be with her forever.
It breaks my heart to think that I'll never get another chance, . . . never
She'll fall for you, as so did I.
The past four months without you, all I've done is cry.
I really was in love with you.
I'll never forget, it's so true.
Replacing me, and making new memories in your heart.
Because of her, we driftted farther, and farther apart.
Pretending like I never happened, making me dissapear.
You were my one and only, now my greatest fear.
Watching her take my place in your soft brown eyes.
Knowing that she'll never have to say her good-bye's
Unlike you, I'll hold onto all the memories, what's true.
I can say, I learned what love is, from loving you.
A part of me is forever gone.
She's the new me, your new song.
