Always turns to Someday, maybe again

The rain's poured down for about a week

and I wonder why the heavens are so sad

but when everything on earth is falling apart

how can they keep themselves from crying?

The things we once trusted are crumbling

The promises we made turned to dust

The faces we once looked at with love and happiness

Now only bring tears to our eyes.

The sun came out for about a day

And oh, how happy we were

But as soon as the green and flowers arrived

Our light was taken away.

We wanted so much to believe

all the choices we made were right,

that even though forever had failed,

there might still be an always.

Always was a few short months

How hard that was to comprehend

And then we realized that those stars we thought would always be there

Had become dim and faded away.

Now that we are all out in this rain

Knowing we'll have to change so many things in order to forget

We cant help but hope

that maybe

the rain will only last a little while.
