The Letter

There she was,
She seen him in the hall,
Hes just another boy who didn't Catch her fall.

She remembered the past.
The smile that started it all,
His scent as he walked by
In hopes this boy wouldn't make her cry.

Then six months later
She looked into his eyes so deep and blue.
Being together another moment she knew the love would be untrue.

So as they said their farewells
And kissed their final kiss
She knew that this boy
She would truly miss.

She really starts to regret
Everything she had done
She still thought
That he was the only one.

He walks past her
Looking down at the floor
He feels that without her
His whole life's a bore.

He calls her that night
again and again no answer
The raining of the phone was killing
Him as if some kind of cancer.

He leaves her a message
It said lets meet at our spot
I will see you at six
Please just give this some thought.

She sat and thought it all through
She came to a conclusion
She knew exactly
What she had to do.

He was sitting by himself
He knew she didn't love him
He had known
That she had her doubts.

He goes to turn around
And there was her friend
He thought long and hard
He had a feeling it was the end.

She handed him a note
He opened it and read
I know that I'm not with you i have plenty reasons why,
its hard to write this letter and not want to die.

I know we have had times
Some good and some bad.
Memories i am fond of
And glad we once had.

I know you probably hate me
For not being their
Now please don't think that
I really don't care.

Now this is all that
I have to write
I really did expect
To see you tonight.

Sincerely the girl
Who gave it her all
The one who breaks down
And tries not to bawl.

In deep thought he hurried home
What was he going to write her?
What would he say
He wrote her the letter and sent it away.

She opened the letter it read
I miss your smile i miss your touch
To finally see what you thought
I miss you so much.

It all started with that one glance
You had given me a feeling
A feeling as if
I had stood a chance.

As she read on
Tears had welled in her eyes
Not Expecting all this
She couldn't help but cry.

So he had closed the letter...

Sincerely the boy
Who would give it all up for you
Just to hear the words
I love you.

After the letter
Came a knock on the door
In came the boy
Soak-en wet on the floor.

He gave her pink daisies
Wilted from the rain
Her eyes once more
Welled up with pain.

He had walked ten miles
to tell her in person how he had felt
Because of his feelings
He couldn't have dealt.

He told her that if only she
Looked much deeper
She would have seen a boy
Who was oh so much weaker

For her he depended on
She was his best friend
They came to a conclusion
The pain had to end.

They both were sick of crying
And Sleepless nights
They both said
That their would be no more fights.

Now they are together
Ten months later in fact
With things a lot better and to think
This all started with a simple letter.
