A haiku of morning.

I woke up today
and there was
a feeling in my stomach.

At first I thought it was my feelings,
the regrets of my past,
the slings of outrageous fortune,
the pangs of a despised love

but then i realised

I was hungry.

I got up
and went
to the kitchen.

i poured
a bowl
of banana and nut muffin cereal.

My quench for life was at last

FILLED.
