The Closed Door

by snuggles   May 17, 2006

The door is open.
He opened the door.
I held the dagger away from my heart.
At any moment, I would unite it
With my own skin.
He ran towards me
Yelling and shouting
But I couldn't make out his words.
He was my true love, but
He was the last person from my thoughts.

And then it was over
He closed the door.
Threw away the lock,
And never looked back.
