I wish

by Stivers   May 17, 2006

I wish I could paint the sky green
I wish I could paint the ground blue
I wish I could make an ice sculpture
I wish I had a sculpture of you
I wish you were still there for me
I wish I could feel your touch
I wish that my life was easy and love was just enough
I wish I knew how to talk to you
I wish I knew where you were
I wish that maybe you'd call me and tell me this separation is absurd
I wish I knew what your feelings were
I wish I knew what you thought
I wish that you could hold me the way you did when you loved me
I wish I had your heart
I wish you hadn't crushed mine
I wish you were near me so I could look into your eyes
I wish I could paint the sky green
I wish I could paint the ground blue
But really, I wish you would love me the way that I love you.
