The Waiter and The Hostess

by Lauren   May 19, 2006

The tables are all cleaned
the lights are turned down low
couples at the bar are leaving
he says get in the car let's go

speeding down the highway
feeling things I've never known
I look at him and don't know why
it's strong my mind's about to blow

I take his hand
tell him it's okay
he's not yet her husband
she doesn't have to know

he looks into my eyes
make love through hidden glances
he says he's gotta stop the lies
this is one of our last dances

*This is about a guy at my work. It's not true but I had a dream that it happened so I decided to write about it.
