The Cougar

by Nate   May 22, 2006

Cougar, panther, puma, mountain lion and cat-amount are other names for this ghost cat,
When it screams like a woman you really do not want to know where its at,

As it runs through the hills and forest you may see this sleek muscular being of wonder,
Then suddenly without warning the white tail deer is taken asunder,

Then the cat tears the meat and satiates its belly,
Grabbing meat for the cubs she heads for the gully,

A shot rings out and the beautiful cat has turned glassy eyed,
The real top predator has taken another animal aside,

One day man will look around,
And find he is the only animal left on this ground.
