His scent still lingers in my room
What's left yesterday's consumed
A pouring rain
A Hollywood kiss
Oh dear heart, what I have missed

The storm was raging all around
There was no light, no love, nor sound
And then he came
God's gift to me
A love to hold; to set me free

Oh God, oh God i thank You for
My love, the rain and so much more
And in this lovely
Midsummer night's rain
Lord, how beautifully You remove the pain

A dream, a kiss, an I-love-you
What oh what did I do
I am not worthy
Of a love like this
Oh how much my heart has missed

A love like this has opened my eyes
That behind the storm a beauty lies
A truth lies buried
One that I have never seen
But 'twas revealed to me tonight, my love, my dream.

He is reclaimed, what declaration!
The beauty seen in him was not mistaken
In his eyes
I have been set free
Oh thank you Lord, for sending him to me.

    Beautifully written. I feel the same way about my recent boyfriend, so it hit home pretty well for me. Only real critique I have is to check your "i" to "I" capitalizations because I should always be a capital. :)

    OMG the first stanza was a great way to start if it def. makes the reader want to read more..I love "A hollywood kiss" hehe it made me giggle!!

    This poem was beautiful and I love your style of writing! Excellent job on this!!!
