Weezie and Nate

by Nate   May 27, 2006

We met while in the Army stationed in Germany,
I did not want to know the girl I would one day call Weezie,
Her friends called her Mac and I really could care less,
But one night she wanted me to double date and she was such
a pest,
So I went with her to eat pizza and have fun,
Before I knew it we were calling each other hun,
She took care of me when I ran head first into the
shortstop,
We watched TV every night because I thought my wallet
she would pop,
One day she said, Nate I love you, do you here?
I paused for a second and said, I think I need a beer.
But the Love was mutual and proposed I did do,
And the day she got out of the Army,
I did boo hoo hoo,
We wrote letters of love and of things I will tell
you not,
But when I got out of the Army things really
got hot,
We married in Pennsylvania the home of my love,
Then we drove to Texas and set up house like two doves,
We used our GI Bill and graduated from SFA,
Then we have our son, Nathan, I willl save that story for another
day,
We lived in Tyler and then moved to Lindale,
With my education degree I teach from bell to bell,
We have had some ups and some downs, some laughter
and some tears,
But we have loved each other these twenty-nine years,
I call her my flower blossom and I am her honeybee,
We will love each other forever and always.

I wrote this for my wife on our 29th wedding anniversary

    Beautifully done!

Fix the little characters that the site puts in there and it will flow better.

However, this piece is from the heart and is very well written. I love it.
