Why?

Why do i still feel this way?
Waiting for that impossible day
When he asks me to be a part of his life
And that one special day where i become his wife
But i know those days will never come
Happily Ever After only happens for some
I try so hard to forget this each day
But no matter how i try, I think about it anyway
Its such a great feeling that makes me so glad
But he's such a great friend; one of the best I've ever had
I want this feeling to go away and just end
