Let Me Love You

by Eman D   Jun 2, 2006

Anything I've ever wanted to feel,
You let those emotions come true.
Who I really am is revealed.
Who I really am is who I am when I am w/ you.

Like a punch to my stomach,
you make my breathing stop.
Your beauty is a hard right cross.
You make my jaw drop.

The times your right next to me,
are the times I wanna claim your waist.
Those are the times I want you the most,
but always between us is that couple inches of space.

I think about you endlessly like a riddle.
But like a joke, you make me laugh.
Our long conversations seem little.
Our short sweet moments I wish I could make last.

So keep taking away my air,
but let me call you my beau.
Keep making me feel real,
but please let me love you.

I'm a fool for having hope,
cause now I realize.
You'll never be the one.
I can see it in your eyes.

You don't wanna tell me.
Instead, you give me signs.
You don't love me the same way.
Therefore, you'll never be mine.
