Wolves

by perkyshadowgirl   Jun 6, 2006

Listen to the wind
as it blows through the trees
bringing you to the heavens
or down to your knees
so never ask why
and never ask how
just lift up your head
and let the wolves howl

the whole world, it listens
when you do something wrong
alerting you harshly
like the bang of a gong
yet the listening stops
when there's something to hear
not wanting to know about
something they fear

time passes by
but changes, they cease
for no one can change
their feudal beliefs
but there is a hope
for the race of mankind
it only takes one
to reach everyone's mind

listen to the wind
as it blows through the trees
bringing you to the heavens
or down to your knees
so never ask why
and never ask how
just lift up your head
and let the wolves howl

Smooth poem! i like the flowing writing style and the meanings behind your lines, esp the 2nd stanza. Good stuff!
