A Friend

You wrote me a letter, I read it twice.
You broke my heart, but you still were nice.
I wrote you back, I said I felt the same way.
I've been regretting my decision, every single day.

Now I'm not going to show sadness, or any type of remorse.
We'll have to just stay friends, and not try any other course.
So I guess this is where all the love songs end.
Now when i see you, I'll just have to pretend.
Could our lives together have been something more?
Now we'll never know, I guess we shut that door.

I'll love you forever, my feelings have no end.
But don't worry I won't tempt you, I'll remain just a Friend.

    That is such a sombre piece of balladry honey. i hope things turn out ok. ive been there, and while it seems to hurt so much, it will pass and it will get better. i wish u all the best, and keep up the writing hey. its the best way to let go of bitter feelings. peace :)
