A Stroke, A Tear

by Mousie   Jun 14, 2006

One stroke down his back
One tear down my cheek.
The sun has set over the trees
The faintest light off in the distance.
Thoughts roll through my head
Like storm clouds on a frigthful night.
The electric guitar is faintly heard
From the basement next door.
His soft purr comforts me
His strong yellow eyes
Give me strength.
The night is rolling in
My old love is gone
My new love does not care
I only have one guy.
There for me every night.
Two more strokes
Two more tears down my cheek.

This is about my cat... dont ask, but tonight, just being around him comforted me to no end... i love him dearly and if u have a pet you'll understand

Aww, cute, got to love pets right? Unconditional love as long as they live, amazing how they can fill so many gaps in ones heart by just being close to you.

As for the poem, simply... well done

Completley understand the whole pet thing i get really close to my pets to and sometimes they are the ones that comfort you the most when no one else can. but i really need to start emailing you b/c its funny we are leaving messages like this. but again thanks for the advice, and i try to help peple to and it does add stress but i dont like to see peple down i would rather have thier sadness than them have it thats just me. so if you ever need to talk when your stress gets to high or builds up on you than just write me. i need to write some more poems i just aint that good at it. so ttyl great writing keep it up.
