Heart At Ease

There`s been a part missing from my heart
A hole to the core of my soul
Now that you`re back, my dear friend
That void has been made whole

A clouded mind prevented me from seeing you there
Always ready to hear my desperate pleas
Showing a friendship only we could share
Thank you for putting my heart at ease

Your heart has always been safe
Here in the shelter of my own
Your fears you can now erase
Knowing that you`ve never been alone

We have traveled many a long and winding road
Yet here we are still standing together
Regardless of life`s obstacles thrown
We sail through hand in hand forever

The foundation we laid stood firm
Through the raging wind and rain
When the storm clouds seemed their darkest
Sunshine came to heal the pain

If the world was to end this very minute
God`s book would show our names written in bold
A bond between us that had no limits
Spun on a tapestry of satin and gold
