Butterfly

by Princess Demonica   Jun 18, 2006

Today i sat next to a summer pond. I watched lazy dragonflies skim the dappled mirror surface. Elegant swans gliding onto the water.

The sweet scent of nature and wild meadow flowers greet me.
Opening it's arms and i surrender. My eyes are open to the new waking world.

A brilliant flash catches my breath under her painted wings. Dazzling color swirls through the open summer sky. Stopping me in my tracks.

Her colors of emerald greens, Royal purples and Sapphire blues intoxicate me into submission. Resting my head in the fiery green grass.

The butterfly reminds me of your eyes. So deep and soulful. Filled with life and vibrancy. Brimming with sunshine and the joy you bring me and the new world
