Words

The words you use to injure her make her feel like dirt.
There's only so much a girl can take, pretending it doesn't hurt
She shrugs it off like it's nothing; she laughs through all the pain
But you don't know how her tears flow, inside like a torrent of rain
Your eyes wander over everything but her; they make her want to hide
You'll never see how much it hurts as it cuts her up insid
Her heart's still whole because she hasn't found him yet
And everytime she looks at you she chokes on her regret
Nobody sees her, it's like she's a ghost
And no one knows what hurts her the most
What's the point in living this life if it's all just one big lie
Especially when there's no one there to wipe her tear-filled eyes
There's cuts on her arms and bruises on her heart
She's at the beginning with no will to start
You're words caused this; and she blames it on you
She's lost in the dark and doesn't know what to do
