Forgotten scars

Scars caused by hate are forgotten and healed,
wounds inflicted by the self or another are closed,
the flesh of the soul is repaired,
with the promise of a new start,
living to the fullest,
breaking free of the chains that have bound us to the hurtful past,
finding each other we've broken loose and are now creating the paradise we were told could never be built, the demons have been vanquished
and the angels from heaven sing in a mighty chorus "all the days of darkness are gone,
live in the light, forever shining over you"
