I may be young
But marriage still pokes into my thoughts
That word holds so much meaning for me
Marriage
It's a lifetime full of companionship, trust, and loyalty
A life of commitment, love, and honesty
It means that I will always have someone to come home to
Someone to always love
Yet I am unsure if marriage will ever be a secure event in my future
I love him
And I wish I could marry him now,
Be with him forever
But I continue to screw up in our relationship
And I'm not sure if I can get him to stay with me that long
But I want him to be the person I come home to
The man I'll lay with each night
Marriage
It's a big deal
And I want it to be absolutely perfect
To happen at the right time
For it to have meaning
But I don't think I can get him to say those words, those special words to me in the future
Marriage
It means so much
It's so special and is a joyful occasion
Yet it scares me so much
Marriage is the future
