"Rejection"

I told you that i loved you
and you just sat and stared
making me feel there was no hope
that you didn't seem to care

you sat me down right next to you
and tried to explain
how loving you was wrong
and more you did complain

you asked me to stop loving you
but how do i do this?
whenever i am with you
my heart is filled with bliss

although you told me all of this
i used up all my might
to try to understand
how loving you wasn't right

the more you tried to talk to me
the more i did cry
i felt like all my time on you
lived out to be a lie

from the moment we met
all i thought of was you
whenever you were seen
my heart thought this was true

i guess things didn't turn out
as i wish they had
I'll try to be happy for you
but my heart will never be glad
