Serenity

by Princess Demonica   Jun 20, 2006

The frothy caps of violent waves fall like the hooves of white horses. Salty air lashes the cliffs and the houses seem to huddle together. The howling wind screams like a banshee into the blackened night sky.

Icy rain drives into the churned sand dunes and the ships that nestle against the harbor wall smash into splinters. Delicate hands rise out if the foaming depths and stretch. Long green hair flows like snakes through the water.

Around there singing forms calmness fills into a bubble the clamoring storm still screams around them but silence is the only sound.

Silence is a mere imprint in the fabric of time. Serenity a fading memory in a frail mind. Beauty is a touch that is long forgotten by time
