Think os the other

Walking in the rain
the street light dim
the moon aglow
as each house i pass lives are being lived
the big white house on the corner of maine and walnut
a little family mom and dad
son and daughter
eating their dinner at the big dinning table
seeing this family aand comparing it to mine i wants to stop and cry
yes i have everything need and more a mom and dad and brothers living in perfect harmony is what people see
but my parents argue
my brother is a mess
the oldest lives in another state just to ecscape the issues of our so called family
my youngest is so little he doesn\'t understand why these guys sneak in my window at night
it is my way to escape this life
i keep walking down the street
as my silent tears drown my cheek
the darkness grows all around me in this unfamiliar part of town
the house aren\'t as nice most are very run down
in the distance a baby cries and down the street to left another screams
up ahead tires squeal
it smells like smoke all around where am
what it this place
i walk a little further
and i stop by the little trailor
i hear some screaming and in the window i look
a man beating his wife and daughter
a little child shivers in the corner and another boy around seventeen try to stop his father
his mother cries and his sister i think maybe dieing then i see that shiny barrel pulled from the mans side
i watch in as he kills his wife
his son pulls his to her feet and picks up the little child out the door they run in fear of there lives
i stand in shock at what i just saw
and i thought my life was hard
so for everyone that is out there that has everything u could want and think life sucks think about the family that are beaten and torn
think about the children running to stay alive
think of all the family living on the street compared to them your life is a dream
