The Willow Tree's Shadow

by Ellen   Jun 21, 2006

The Willow Tree's Shadow

cast a shadow beneath my tears
for they have become their own fear
can you not see me under this willow tree
it's weeping for you and me

a silent argument between me and me
about you and you and wishing it was we
but our conversations are never long
and my silent words are where i belong

heart shattering, screaming into silence
wishing love would pull away a great distance
because i'm breaking, ripping, and tearing things
all awhile, wishing i could find dependable wings

wings to let me fly away, so far away
where your words can't ruin my day
good or bad, they bring me down
leading me into heartache and frown

because i know i'll never have you
and i just wish these feeling were untrue
but i can't help but think and think of you
if only you knew what i felt, if only you knew...

but all i have is this willow tree cascading over me
with this haunting monster i will always be
its falls over me like my tears fall from my eyes
shadowing me, i wish these nightmares were all lies

*feel free to comment/vote. It would mean a lot to me! Thank you*
