Crippled Heart

by Brittany   Jun 21, 2006

I look at you, and feel so much pity

you look like a mess, why are you still in this city?

Your eyes look so tired, so depressed. They don't light up anymore, just a glaze of stressed.

I'll remember the times you tried to be there. I'll remember the times you made me feel not so scared.

But for now I can't look at you without tears in my eyes. I feel as if from the beginning, you never heard my cries.

Don't think that I don't love you, or that I haven't cared, I still wish I had my daddy, for all the times I'll need you there.

It will never be the same, you've crippled my heart. If you can leave me, I've been right from the start...

If you can walk away, without blinking an eye, could everyone else be just like you? Like a lie. Like broken promises...
