To Lamark

by Haley Moore   Jun 22, 2006

It was the last time I saw your face
Held your hand;
Felt your warm embrace,
The last time i'd see your soul

Love is a dying thing...
And it's about to go.

I tried to pull you into the spell,
Tried to say my last farewell;
Leave the stories alone to tell
But you're too good for that

I remember what you first said
That first day in computer Ed.
With a suave smiled your voice bayed,

"A violin is a beautiful intsrument, no matter how it's played."

My parents words would verbally shove,
"You're too young to fall in love!"
Love takes all, and is selfless
Is it my fault that I'm helpless?

I'm sorry in that fight how I dissed you;
It was horrible and I missed you
But I love you, and you know...
I really should have kissed you

Now to myself I'll think of you
and all the things that we could do and say;
Think of each would-be day
I'll think of your laugh and smile...

While I keep it all to myself.
