You promised to love me
That's a promise I hardly did see.

You promised to never leave
But now I see the tricks that were up your sleeves

You promised I would be your wife
But all I feel is pain as though you were a knife

You promised to build life with me
But the only thing that's building is the sorrow in me

So you promised me a lot of things
But none did come true,
I guess promising you'll make them come true
