Did you ever?

Did anyone else feel that?
Or was it just my heart tearing in two?
Did anyone else see it coming?
Or was it my own stupid fault?

I knew he was taken
I knew he was never going to be mine
Yet I persisted with it
And now I hit the brick wall that I saw in the distant but never bothered to stop for it
I just kept on running straight at it
Thinking it would dissolve

Now he's with her
and I'm here alone

How could I have been so stupid?
How could I let myself do it again?

I think this time I've learnt my lesson
I think this time the fall was bone shaking
I think this time he really broke me
I think this time it's over!

    This is a really good poem. it shows how most girls feel. asking themsleves if what they do for that special person is really worth it. i loved it

    I liked the last stanza alot. But, the second stanza seemed a little rocky with the flow. If you fixed that up a little I think it would be great. Keep it up! 5/5
