I know the bittersweet feelings in this poem all too well. Sad but with a small shimmer of hope that you'll be together again soon. I love it.

I;m going to be honest... I think there are a couple of "fill" words that can be removed, such as "the". If you can find a few of these, the flow will be even more exquisite than it already is. Besides that, I found I could relate well to this poem (Like I'm sure many will). Your rhyming is great and the length of the poem was just right. A very good piece!!
