Girl I Can Not Have

This is the tale
of the girl that i love

The girl
i cannot help thinking of.

Her beautiful hair
a golden brown.

Her smile
took away my frown.

The time with her
lifted my heart.

But I felt so bad
when we were appart.

I admired from afar
her beauty and grace.

And blushed whenever
she looked in my face.

I knew i should never
be so bold.

As to let my feelings
for her unfold.

But as she looked at me
with a warm loving gaze.

I fell into
her blue eye's maze.

But then a sharp pain
fell on my heart.

Like someone had struck it
with a poison dart.

I knew somehow
this thing had to end.

Because this girl that i love
is going out with my best friend....
