This is Our Reality (Song Lyrics)

by Samantha   Jun 29, 2006

You hold me close, to throw me away,
Pick me up again, tell me everything's okay.
How many times have I heard this?
How many times will you say this?
Like a sound clip stuck, no skip;
All the words you love to say.

Steadfast love, it's always here for you
To accept when you choose, like you always do.
I try to tell you I need you a little more,
A little bit more than I did before.
But you're gone again, left me to bend
The words "I'll be back soon" into "I'm always true".

When you say you're tired of living,
Does it really mean you're tired of loving me?
I know I'm getting tired of giving,
Are you getting all that you need?

Fairytales always end with love and fun and happiness,
But in real life the story doesn't end with a wedding dress.
The plots of our lives aren't set in stone,
The rights to the stories can't be owned.
Did you stop trying and start lying?
Once again you're here to cover up this mess.

When you say you're tired of living
(This is not real)
Does it really mean you're tired of loving me?
(This is not real)
Did you know I'm getting tired of giving?
(This is not real)
I'm not getting what I need.
(This is not reality)

I know that I'm tired of living
The way of life that we lead.
We're both tired of giving
Up, let's give each other what we need.

Because,

This is not real.
This is not real.
This is not reality.

You are not real.
You are not real.
You are not really what I need.
