When We First Met

Sweeping colors lined with stars
Glowed from shimmering eyes to eyes
Butterflies swarmed around inside
Hand in hand, establishing ties

My lips dropped in crimson dew
Gazing upon my fairytale prince
Words stuttering out my mouth
Been together ever since

You smiled nervously at me
Wondering what was true love
Peering at my pearl white gown
Appearing like an angel above

Leaves danced around our souls
Drenching us in gentle mirth
Whispering to our bashful face
Our lives turned to a new birth

Shimmering in the sunset sky
Like children we pounced along
A lovestruck pair, you and I
Giggling till the brilliant dawn
