Fallen

by Matt   Jul 6, 2006

Would you waste your time
And listen to me open up
To share what is deep inside
Thoughts of you and what once was
Things that flew by in broken time
Invisible futures and silent thought
Everything I've become is pointless now
And here I am, sharing the space between
With a thousand other strangers
Left walking with heads in the sky
And singing a familiar melody to themselves
Notes and chords grab us by the wrists
To drag us down to memories of leaving
And burning painful tattoos into our minds
The chemicals between us are massed together
Clouds of poison and empty addictions
But distance leaves room for growth
Growing together like beautiful ivy lace
We'll make the best of this task
Push past all the time we've lost
In one all encompassing moment that we wait for
A single embrace that we'll never question
Or argue against, never hang a white flag
Because it's stronger than all that
I've got to admit, among all the problems I see
I don't care what people think
The future is mine to control, but as for the past?
I can not help what has happened and I will not argue
It's so easy to see, that I've fallen for you.

Very talented writing and sometimes we can't see the tree for the forest and vice versa.
