The full moon is shinning brightly,
While the stars shimmer dazzlingly.
The air is cool and crisp,
A gentle breeze touches my face.
My face is upturned to the sky,
A sacrifice to the beautiful night.
Thunder claps through the air,
Suddenly stilling it.
Lighting flashes across the sky,
Making the moon dim in brightness.
Dark evil clouds, color of black,
Roll across the sky.
The moon and stars hide behind
The curtain of soft cotton.
I close my eye and hold my arms
Up the sky, palms open wide about my head.
Warm wet droplets fall upon me.
My upturn face and arms are wet.
I open my eyes and look around,
The rain is dark in color, not a white blue shade.
I put my hand to my face and pull it away.
I stare in horror and amazement at what I see.
Instead of cool refreshing rain water,
I find the sky weeping tears,
Tears of Blood
