The First Time

by Greg   Jul 10, 2006

The first time I saw her, my heart skipped a beat,
her beauty flowed through my veins like a river to my soul.
The first time I saw her, time seemed to stand still,
it was a powerful force, almost magical; I could not turn my eyes away.

The first time I met her, I was instantly drawn to her,
it felt like I knew her my whole life.
The first time I met her, she knocked me off my feet,
her heart so warm, her soul so pure, I remember thinking I have to know her better.

For the first time I realize that I am in love,
I find myself thinking of ways I can make her life happier,
thinking of ways I can make sure that she never has to hurt again.
Thinking of ways to show her how happy we could be.

My entire life I have never believed in "Soul Mates",
Now I believe that I have found mine.
