For Sue

by John   Feb 28, 2004

Never in my life have I felt love such as this.
Nor has any other girl been so painfully missed.
The way that I feel with you in my arms,
Is indescribable joy that fills my heart with such warmth.

I've spent so much time lost in your smile and sweet kiss,
And I’ve thanked God for giving me such moments as this.
Your sense of humor and the laughter we share,
These are but a few of the reasons I care.

Parking lots, gazebo, even Lake St. Clair.
To be with you honey I would go anywhere.
And no matter the crowd, it seems that it's just us.
Yet the hours seem like minutes and are never enough.

Like that night on the deck when time got away,
In bed I wish grumpy old "momma bear" stayed.
But our conversations seem endless and being with you so much fun
I know many nights we'll talk past the rise of the sun.

The happiness I feel remembering our past times together
Has me hoping and praying that this will last forever,
Because losing you is a thought I never want to fathom,
Just as the sadness it would bring I can't even imagine.

We call ourselves twins because of experiences we've shared.
But I'd like to say soul mates if I so dared.
So, to sum it all up, the next line I'm sending,
I love you Sue, always, and that's never ending.
