Golden Shores

by The Undoing   Jul 14, 2006

I met you in those early days,
When everything was a blurry haze.
Oh I knew, at first sight I knew,
One day, I would be in love with you.
Everything went great we became so close,
Went through things that no one knows.
Every moment lasted a lifetime, more,
Feeling like I lived on Gods Golden Shore.
The years passed and the times were great,
Every second I thanked God for fate.
Fate did not agree, and took you from me,
And left me alone, half a man to be.
It cut me to the core, to be like this,
I begged God each night for your kiss.
The dark pain lasted for months and years,
All the great things became horrible fears.
Nothing left inside, I succumb,
Fingers slowly go numb.
But my dear it was not all in vain,
I ended that empty pain.
I joined you again, on that Golden Shore
Our hands entwined, forever more.

Well it really impressed me, it was so beautiful! The story described is very sad and touching but you wonderfully captured those feelings in your poem. Well done dear, and I hope you are not feeling that way right now!
    Best wishes,(...5/5...)
